Provincial Grand Master, RWBro Gordon Robertson, successfully launched our 2021 Festival Appeal in support of the Masonic Charitable Foundation during the Provincial meeting on Monday 24th October at Great Queen Street.

Thanks to your generosity, the Appeal has already raised the magnificent sum of £200,000. RWBro Robertson presented this incredible £200,000 donation to the Foundation’s President, RWBro Richard Hone, near the end of the meeting.

At the launch, RWBro Robertson introduced the new Festival Focus section of the Concord. He explained the section was a way of keeping you informed and up-to-date on the Festival’s successes.

RWBro Robertson encouraged all Lodges to share their fundraising news and events with their area representatives for inclusion in the Festival Focus. We will let you know by email when the next edition of Concord, due to be released in winter this year, is available to download.

The PGM also announced “The Festival Challenge” initiative. The Festival Challenge aims to encourage everyone to take part in a fun sponsored activity or event. Whether it’s a gruelling physical challenge such as a marathon, or a battle of will-power such as a slim-a-thon, collecting sponsorship for an event will qualify you for our new and exclusive Festival Challenge lapel pin.

All the sponsorship you raise from your Festival Challenge event will contribute to your individual honorific level. For more information about the Festival Challenge, visit our page called Festival Challenge.

To read the full briefing provided by the PGM at the Festival launch, please visit our page PGM Briefing.

Early next year, the Festival Committee will be holding a series of Festival roadshows open to all Masons who would like to know more about the Festival Appeal and the support available from the Masonic Charitable Foundation.

If you would like further information and support making a donation or creating a sponsorship page in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to contact your area representatives.
